Odio essere fregata dai trailer, soprattutto quando un film divertente risulta essere poi un drammone (vedi The Last Song).
Per farvi capire bene cosa intendo però sono costretta prima a farvi guardare il trailer, e poi parlare del film:
Così a occhio sembra il classico chick flick o una commedia in stile Hitch vero? Wrong! Qua siamo più a livello Nicholas Sparks, ma in modo molto, molto, molto più noioso. (E contate che non sono neanche una fan del vecchio Nick).
Jamie Reidy è un rappresentante farmaceutico, che sfrutta il sesso per migliorare le vendite dei suoi prodotti. Tutto cambia quando incontra Maggie Murdock, l’unica capace a tenergli testa, arrivando addirittura a rifiutarlo. Un problema però è nascosto subito dietro l’angolo: nonostante la giovane età Maggie soffre del morbo di Parkinson..
Insomma, non è certo una storiella sulla quale farsi quattro risate e via. Come clima generale si può dire che sia sul genere de I passi dell’amore (che neanche a farlo apposta è dello stesso Sparks) e Autumn in New York.
Il problema è che anche cercando di vederlo sotto l’ottica del film drammatico, proprio non ci siamo. Le scene sono lente, gli avvenimenti pressochè nulli, e i dialoghi banali, a parte qualche sparata brillante nella prima mezzora. In più alcune scene alla American Pie proprio non c’entrano niente.
L’accenno poi alla situazione delle case farmaceutiche e alla corruzione dei medici è veramente inutile. Buttato lì per dare l’impressione di essere un film impegnato, ma senza essere approfondito un minimo. Si parla di Viagra, di Prozac, di anti depressivi in generale.. ma tutto di sfuggita, tanto da farti chiedere “ma a cosa serviva tutta questa manfrina allora??”
In definitiva questo film proprio non mi è piaciuto, ed è stata una bella fatica vederlo fino alla fine. Probabilmente hanno aiutato solo le scene in cui Jake Gyllenhaal è mezzo nudo.
