Day 17 — An art piece (painting, drawing, sculpture, etc.)
Notte Stellata – Van Gogh
In generale devo ammettere che apprezzo molto più l’architettura rispetto alle altre arti, ma dovendo scegliere un dipinto (non ho una grande passione per la scultura) sarebbe decisamente questo, ovvero Notte Stellata di Van Gogh. Non si tratta di una predilizione stilistica, ma semplicemente di una sensazione a pelle, probabilmente innescata dai colori così forti e contrastanti tra loro, e dalle spirali che li confondono.
Questo quadro tra l’altro l’ho visto ben due volte nel corso degli anni: la prima alle elementari nel Museo Van Gogh di Amsterdam, la seconda all’inizio del liceo a Venezia, durante una rassegna di impressionisti e post-impressionisti. Ero rimasta stupita nel vedere i miei compagni di classe passarci davanti senza mezzo sguardo in più… sono gusti.
Giusto per darvi un’idea dei miei gusti eccovi qualche altro pezzo con il quale (o meglio, con una stampa del quale) adornerei una mia futura dimora:
- Kandinsky – Alcuni cerchi (a dire il vero ho già il poster appeso davanti a me)
- Andy Warhol – Marilyn
- Georges Seurat – La grande jatte (anche di questo arrivo tardi, perchè nella casa vecchia avevamo il puzzle da 14000 pezzi)
- William Turner – Grand Canal
- Salvador Dalì – Medative Rose

Io ricordo che quando a Madrid passai davanti alla “Guernica” di Pablo Picasso rimasi incantata. Non riuscivo a smettere di guardarlo. E provai lo stesso stupore nel vedere i miei compagni di scuola passargli davanti senza degnarlo di uno sguardo.
Anche questo quadro mi piace, mi trasmette serenità e ordine. Come se il mondo andasse come deve andare… come se tutto fosse a posto perché segue uno schema. Come se ci fosse qualcuno che protegge il sonno del villaggio.. :)
